THIS CLASS IS FULL and the program is already underway.  Look for a new OTAGO class series in summer/fall 2020

OTAGO is a program of strength and balance exercises that is proven to reduce the risk of falls among seniors.  The class will meet on Wednesdays and Fridays from 2pm to 3pm for 12 weeks with participants doing the exercises one additional day each week at home and walking for 30 minutes twice a week. OTAGO is suitable for those who can walk without or with an assistive device and want to improve their balance and ability to resist falls.

Participants will be asked to purchase ankle weights.

The class meets in Meeting Room 2 upstairs at the Shepherd Park Library at 7420 Georgia Ave NW.  There is a small parking lot in front of the library and street parking along Georgia Ave. and Geranium St.  There is an elevator to the 2nd floor.
