FIELD TRIP: NATIONAL ARCHIVES

·      Join East Rock Creek Village, friends and volunteers to visit the national archives and view the declaration of independence, the constitution and the Bill of Rights and the Coal Survey Exhibit.

·      Meet at 9:45am at Takoma Metro Station. We will travel the red line to Fort Totten And then take the green line to the archives.  It is a short walk to the museum. We will begin the visit with a tour of the highlights of the collection at 11 AM.  Afterwards we will view “Power & Light: Russell Lee’s Coal survey photographs. 

·      Lunch: We’ll have lunch together at our own expense at the Charters cafe at the Archives. 

·      Return: Expect to arrive back at Takoma Metro around 3:00 pm.
