Jazz on the Plaza
Sunday, June 7, 2026 | 4:30–6:30 pm
Marketplace Plaza at The Parks at Walter Reed

Join East Rock Creek Village for an afternoon of live jazz, community, and summer fun at Marketplace Plaza! This free, open-air concert features DC jazz vocalists James Zimmerman and Shirletta Settles, backed by a fantastic band. Bring your friends and family, a folding chair, and your love of great music.

Seating for seniors and light refreshments will be available while supplies last. This event is free and open to the public — all are welcome!

Please RSVP to help us plan.
Register on this page, email [email protected], or call/text 202-656-7322. Registered guests will receive reminders and weather updates. The rain date is Sunday, June 14, from 4:30–6:30 pm. ERCV members may request a ride.

Location & Parking
Marketplace Plaza is at The Parks at Walter Reed, near Georgia Ave. and Dahlia St. NW, across from Whole Foods. Parking is available in the Whole Foods garage, entered from Dahlia or Elder between Georgia Ave. and 12th St. NW. The first 90 minutes are free; no validation needed.

In addition to great music, attendees can connect with local organizations serving older adults in Ward 4. Community partners from the Ward 4 Senior Social Hub initiative — including Genevieve N. Johnson Senior Center and Vida Senior Centers — will host information tables with resources, programs, and opportunities for connection.

About ERCV
Jazz on the Plaza is hosted by East Rock Creek Village, a volunteer-powered nonprofit helping neighbors age 50+ stay active, connected, and engaged. This event is made possible thanks to the generous support of ANC 4B, the Washington Home and DC Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL), and ERCV members, donors and volunteers.
