Calling All East Rock Creek Volunteers -- We are expecting to have more than 100 members, neighbors, and friends in attendance at Jazz on the Plaza at the Parks at Walter Reed Marketplace Plaza on Sunday June 7th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.  Can you help to make this event a success?

We will need a crew or two for 1)set-up from 3:00pm until 4:15pm and 2) clean-up from 6:30pm until 7:30pm This involves some fairly heavy work --unloading/loading cars, raising/lowering tents, moving chairs and full coolers.  3) refreshment crew giving out drinks and snacks, mostly seated 4) check in crew who will be seated checking in those who pre-registered, giving out brochures and collecting contact information for prospective members and volunteers 5) volunteers to pass out fans and brochures, help guests to get seated, doing check-in on the go. These jobs will be begin at 4:00pm and continue until 6:30pm. 6) Members will request rides to and from the concert -- these will be listed as usual for vetted ERCV drivers.  You can sign up to transport 2 or 3 members. 

Please register to volunteer on this page and indicate in the Comments box the hours you wish to help out and your preferred role(s) by number. Or you can provide your role(s) and hours in a reply to the confirmation email message or by email to [email protected]. Please also register for the Jazz on the Plaza EVENT separately.  Registering is easier if you sign on to the ERCV data platform -- you wont have to deal with the I am not a robot hassle.

On June 7th wear your ERCV T-shirt or put on a special ERCV Volunteer button.   For quick contact on concert day call/text (202)656-7322.  You can park for 1 1/2 hours free in the Whole Foods garage which is entered from Elder or Dahlia.  No purchase or validation is needed, just leave the parking ticket in your car.  Go up the stairs and exit Whole Foods -- Marketplace Plaza is just across 12th Street.
