IMPROVISATION WORKSHOP: PLAY, LAUGH & CREATE
- No experience or acting skills required! Join us for a playful, supportive introduction to improvisation with Gary Jacobs, Founding Artistic Director of Bethesda Improv Theater.
Through theater games such as Order from Chaos, Endless Snake, and Slap-Pass-Shrug, we'll use our imaginations to create stories and scenes together in real time. Improv is a fun way to stretch your creativity, practice communication skills, meet new people—and perhaps surprise yourself!
- About Gary: A longtime leader in the DC-area improv community, Gary produced his first local improv performance in 1979 and later founded Precipice Improv and Bethesda Improv.
- Where: Juanita E. Thornton/Shepherd Park Library, 7420 Georgia Ave. NW.
- Workshop: 1:30–3:00 pm, followed by a half hour to socialize.
